The Journey Begins

Hey, we’re the Grady family. There are currently nine of us (yes, you read that correctly), Greg (Dad), Janice (Mom), and our seven kids (the girls have Janice’s initials and the boys have Greg’s so, to somewhat protect their identities, we call them by their first initial and birth order online but that isn’t what we call them in real life), who Janice homeschools. We love God and try to bring Him glory in all that we do. Sometimes that looks a little crazy to others but we’re just trying to do what we believe God wants us to. We also homestead and Janice is an herbalist. We recently decided we needed to move to a totally new state over 2000 miles from where we called home and start over…..and Janice’s parents decided to join us with her disabled brothers (The Guys). God richly blessed us with an amazing house with an amazing, stocked pond on a little over three acres of land, and Janice’s parents are converting the shop on the property into a house completely tailored to their needs with The Guys. We are truly blessed beyond measure. Our plan is to talk about a little bit of everything that pertains to our life from God to gardening to natural health to recipes to homeschooling to disabilities and disability ministry. We hope you will join us on this journey to more sustainable living and growing into more perfect reflections of Christ. We’ll try to post regularly but, as you can imagine, life gets a bit busy around here.
